water ceremony

Last Friday, I was driving over to Hastings, with the radio on... By a strange coincidence it heard it was 'World Water Day'...

I call it a strange coincidence as I was heading to the lost waterways of St Helen's woods, to meet two friends, Simon and Charlotte, with the intention of clearing some heavily blocked water paths, and one in particular that had previously defeated me for the past two years. The fallen trees that were blocking the stream were simply too large for me to move on my own.

Now, I'm not shy about shifting obstructions when it comes to water, but I did need a hand, or two, or three or even four to tackle this stream.

We met at the woods in the late morning, and spent several wet, muddy and sweaty hours working our way back up through the sandstone canyons, heaving logs and debris from the water's path, finding lost waterfalls and cleansing the flow, step by step.

Both Simon and Charlotte understood the nature of the task, and during the process, the journey, it became clear to us that the analogy of clearing waterways is indeed a metaphor for cleansing one's own blockages. As above...

So below...

By the time we had reached the source of the stream, cleansing all along the way, the water had regained it's song and it's dance. It sings as it travels along and over the rocks, and dances with the air and light as it gains momentum along the flow.

We undertook every obstacle, with only one extremely heavy tree defeating our combined muscle, but... we managed to create a diversion around the blockage, leaving the fallen tree, but navigating around and under the blockage.

Our task was complete. The beauty and freedom had been revealed, and the water released. It was late afternoon, and time for light refreshment in the Dragon Bar.

I thought the story had kinda finished there. But...

Later in the week Charlotte contacted me to tell me that Dr Masaru Emoto was holding a water blessing ceremony on the following friday, in London, upon the River Thames, alongside Cleopatra's Needle.

I could not travel to London, as I had other commitments, though I determined to hold my own ceremony at St Helen's Spring, at the same time as the Thames' blessing... Good.

Then it occurred to me that it might be possible to create a county wide ceremony, with the help of two other friends, Martin and Gabrielle. Martin lives alongside a tidal river in Lewes, the River Ouse, and he created and held a ceremony at the fabulous Zu Studios.

Whilst Gabrielle held ceremony at the Holy Well, in Eastbourne...  So, within a single day, the water had co-ordinated and orchestrated it's own blessing. C'est Alchemique...

But once released, the flow takes upon its own dynamic, and the story has yet another chapter. Hey, bear in mind I am only talking about this past week. Water works really fast y'know.

Charlotte and Simon have travelled to Avebury this weekend, and have freed up a lost spring source, Swallow Head Spring, releasing the blocked energetic of that ancient and sacred place, and have plans for working dynamically with the great challenge... London's waters...

charter of needs

It was the night of the Blue Moon - August 31st 2012

The time was arising when my grand-daughter was to be born, and I wished to take advantage of this beautiful moment, and integrate as many possibilities into a single drawing, as an offering to this unborn child.

Thus I drew, 'Once in a Blue Moon'.

I had been wishing upon many stars, for several weeks, praying for this child to be blessed by the subtle and hidden energies of this universe, and recording this journey as a journal of pictures, in which I observed the heavenly mechanisms of the sky, in order to gain alignment with the larger process.

In my mind's eye I could see the vast turnings of intergalactic space, and felt the distant pull of those subtle movements of the night sky as they moved around the dome of the heavens.

It felt so vast and unreachable until I understood that within my imagination it was possible to reach the far reaches of space and time, and to see the movements and sense their flowing energy, and thus the imagery revealed itself to me.

I knew I wished for all her needs to be met... all her needs... and by coincidence I had encountered a beautiful list on the previous day, and decided to integrate it into her pre-birth chart 'The Rebirth of the Divine Feminine'.

Mind you, within a moment of starting to integrate her needs into the drawing I stopped sharp.

How could I be so selfish, so self-centred to consider that my grandchild was any more important than any other child, or any other person for that matter, and come to think of it, any other living being.

So I chose to weave this subtle tapestry to include the needs of every living being, and that, of course, includes both you and me too.

And now I would like you to read, to contemplate and to observe your own needs, and the needs of others, by reading 'Your Charter of Needs'. Take your time, pausing with each word, and should you be so inspired, share this list with another, so they too might pass it on.... with the intention that all our needs be met.

ancient woodlands

Ancient woodlands, sacred woodlands... Wood Lands.

Ancient trees, whose lives engrave within the rich soil, who hold hillsides still and strong, and whose timeless grace grants life to visitors, and inhabitants.

The woods have taught me some of their secrets, their mystery school ways, and have shown me that I can now pass these ways to others.

Healing with Ancient Woodlands - an experience of empathy with that which lives silently, that which knows no fear and that which is timeless.

Timeless - residing without past or future, knowing no fear. And these may be shared with those wishing to take a journey of healing, with the waters of the woods.

As the way of the water is blocked, inhibited, forced or limited - So the energy life line of the Ancient Woodlands is slowed, and this can be changed.

Shall be changed, as the mirror of self realises that within one's self there are blockages of our energy life lines, called in Sanskrit, 'Nadis' - subtle energy lines.

As Above

So Below...

The way of the water shaman will show you that by clearing a pathway for the water, the principle will manifest, and release past patterning, habitual limitation, and the imagined fears will dissolve, flowing downstream, to be gathered into the eternal whole.

Lifetimes will pass, the Ancient Woodlands will continue to evolve, and will continue to share their majesty and infinite patience with those who share love, wisdom and compassion within the heart.

We can journey through the veil of fear, into the discomfort and tremor of uncertainty, and pass through the element of water, to befriend the living flower of perpetual vortices, the toroidal engagement of creative flow.

Become realised, familiar with the life that is water...

Come visit sometime, you can learn what flows from this healing work...  Healing Magic

a water shaman

It is taught that water has memory. It carries the past, and bears scars of misuse, though also hold the potential to be transformed through the power of intention.

What then is intention?

Intention can be understood as the vehicle by which the mind moves to it's object. It is the connecting factor... I'll give an example.

Without intention, my eyes will not move towards these words. I need intention to engage with my world, to be pro-active, to engage. And furthermore, my understanding is that the more powerful my intention, the more powerful that engagement is.

When I intend to do something, it activates a cascade effect, in line with the laws of karma. I create a cause, and experience an effect.

And in the world of the unseen, invisible effects manifest, remaining in the formless until the effect ripens, whereby it is experienced.

As I sow, so I reap.

A gardener will sow seeds, knowing they will remain invisible, and unknown, until the moment arrives when the seed ripens. This can be weeks, months or years. And so it is with actions - actions predicated upon intention.

The shaman works with intention as one of the primary tools, along with the understanding that the more powerful the intention, the more powerful is the effect.

So, to the practical applicaton of intention upon water.

I'll use the analogy of preparing for a dinner party. I'll consider my guests, and the food I wish to serve, and then I'll have to go to the shops to buy my ingredients, take time to prepare and cook... Oh, and I'll have to lay the table, arrange the candles and glasses, and finally serve the meal when all is in place.

The results, the meal, is the only manifest effect that my guests will see, and all my preparation will be invisible, but... and it is a big but... the quality of my preparation will noticed.

And so it is with water. The time in preparation is of paramount importance, it is the journey to the destination, the pilgrimage itself whereby effort is placed, and then... perfect results will simply happen, by themselves.

Through intention I both usher and gather unseen and mystical energies towards my goal, so the work is done upon the journey.

You'll see in this image that my ingredients have been carefully chosen, the table has been laid, the meal prepared and dinner is now served.

chasing water falls

Water falls. It emerges from the womb of Gaia, after thousands of years of darkened travel, deep within the hidden secrets of Mother Earth. She communicates her earthy breath and shares her choicest minerals, as they combine in a watery alchemy, with intimate knowledge of the journey...

For every step and turn of the water initiates a memory, an experience that is implanted into the living essence of the water's spirit, gathering a learning and an intuition which is embedded into the living codex of our sacred waters.

And then the moment arrives. The moment where water meets air, and water meets light.

And here, the magic happens. Here the magic can be seen. And here the magic may be tasted... Living water.

There are a few moments, as the light, air and water combine, and along with the subtle mineral absorbtions within the water, the 4 Elements are at their most powerful, most potent, and most magical.

This now is an elixir that conjoins with the hidden 5 element, of spirit, of aether, that can be taken, freely and with wisdom.

I drink this water... I trust our sacred Earth, and her precious nectar, as she has gifted places such as these, sacred springs in magical glades, free for all to see, though hidden from closed eyes and closed minds.

My work, through water, evolved thus... Mark Golding - Healing Magic
